Sell Hublot Watch

Founded by the Italian watchmaker Carlo Crocco, Hublot is the brand associated with its unconventional art of fusion. Over the years, we have seen gold with rubber and diamond with denim on the Hublot watches, bringing an entirely different breed of luxurious watches. And then in 2004, Big Bang was launched and the sale of Hublot increased eightfold within a span of 4 years. The Swiss manufacturer, with its watch designs inspired from the porthole of the ships, is now among the top watch manufacturers with a separate fan base in the timepiece community. Although the transition was quite slow for the audience from the traditional design to the unconventional rubber strap of the Hublot.
Currently, the market of pre-owned Hublot watches is dominated by Hublot King Power Chrono Tourbillion watch. Classic Fusion also has a very high demand with the 18k Rose Gold strap. The Hublot watches are the leading timepieces when it comes to the watches with a bigger dial. The modern watches with the UNICO movement is also a very good investment with the ever-growing demand of the watches with the bigger case.

A Brief History of the Hublot

1980 was the year when an Italian watchmaker, Carlo Crocco laid the foundation of the Hublot in Nyon, Switzerland. The idea was to fill the market with watches different than what the big brands used to call elegant design. The design was first inspired by the porthole of the ships and thus the brand was named Hublot, which means porthole in French. But other than the porthole, it was the art of fusion used by them to mark an entrance into the market. Hublot used rubber strap on the precious material Gold in their initial models. This was an unorthodox design, and it was a success because of the sporty yet elegant look and the comfort it provided.  But, the turning point of their story was the launch of the Big Bang in 2004. Big Bang was the flagship watch from Hublot launched during the time when the watches with a big dial were in high demand. This watch led the Hublot to raise the ranking of big case luxurious watches and the brand saw an eightfold increase in their sales. The credit is given to their new CEO, Jean-Clade Biver for the revolutionary chronograph model.

Some Top of the Line Features of the Hublot

The Hublot watches are known for their porthole design in the timepiece community. The large case with rubber strap is not something people look for in the luxury watch segment, but the credit for the Hublot’s success goes to the same case and the strap. We have also seen the sheep wool strap as well on the Hublot watches, turning them into more of an innovator in the watch industry. The automatic in-house HUB1242 calibre with 38 jewels and 3-day reserve have made this watch a beast with a groundbreaking design.

Review from the Timepiece Community

We saw a lot of skepticism from the high-end watch collectors when they see a Hublot watch. The reason is pretty simple, people usually spend money on the iconic models rather than the special alternative Hublot provides. For others, they are not the special alternative, it has its own technical competence with a series of achievements under its name. The UNICO replaced the workhorse chronograph and redefined the horology. The fans were delighted when they saw Hublot as the official timekeeper of the FIFA world cup and their partnership with the Ferrari in the F1 race circuit. No matter how some people criticize its art of fusion, the timepiece lovers have widely welcomed the innovative and comfortable design with added elegance.

Top Models from Hublot

The Big Bang from Hublot is the model that changed the way Hublot was seen in the luxury watches category. Being the top-selling model ever since its launch in 2004, the Big Bang is the first choice in the Hublot catalogue. The One-Click King Gold Blue Diamond is another pick in case you’re looking for a less flashy and sophisticated design. For those who want groovier timepiece, the Hublot Meca-10 King Gold is the watch with a 45-mm case and 133 multicolored sapphires.

Things to Notice before You Sell Your Hublot Watches

There are certain things you need to take care of before you sell your Hublot watch. The condition is the first thing you should take care of, a polish and clean watch is what the most buyers look for. The original in-box papers and the accessories can have a significant impact on the price of the watch, make sure you have them with you when you make a deal. With these two points and the reference and the serial number of the watch, you need to decide the final price for your watch. You can either take help from someone or an online service to decide the price.

The platform you sell your watch holds equal importance. Different platforms have their own pros and cons. The offline dealer is great for some quick cash, but there can be some serious rounds of negotiation before the final price is decided. The online platform is great with almost no negotiation and a great number of potential buyers. No matter what platform you decide to sell your watch on, always double-check the authenticity of the buyer before making any commitment.
