History of Ball Engineer Master II Watches

The Ball Watch Company has been among respected watch brands in the States since 1891. Due to the malfunction of the timekeeper, it resulted in the occurrence of the tragedy, Great Kipton Train Wreck, and the failure of the United States’ railroad system. Webb C. Ball was invited to investigate and regulate the railroads from back in the day and focused on precision and reliability of timekeeping. The creation of Ball Watch has marked an important milestone in the US railroad as well as watchmaking history. On every Ball watch, there is even an engraved “RR.Railroad” text on its case back.

Ever since the establishment of the brand, the Ball watches are well recognised for their practicality and accuracy. In 1962, the Ball brand introduced their first Skindiver watch to address the growing demand for dive watches in the market. With the initial success, the impressive collection was followed by the updated Ball Skindiver II and Ball Skindiver Heritage models. These watches offered exceptional water resistance up to 300 m and antimagnetic resistance to 4,800 A/m.

Since then, the brand has put significant effort into the development of their dive watches. The Ball Engineer Master II is one of the improved models that gained appauses from many diver watch lovers. Featuring distinctive design and advanced features, it is considered as the epitome of a practical diver watch.

The current Ball Watch Engineer Master II is now a collection that houses a series of solid watches for divers. These Ball dive watches are equipped with luminous micro gas tubes for the indices and an internal rotating bezel. They are all well designed to meet all the strict requirements to accompany divers for professional deep-sea diving Incorporating all advanced features, the Engineer Master II watches are also fitted with the durable and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, as well as screwed-in crown for the movement.

The most notable feature that stands out of this watch is its luminescent micro gas tubes. They are well crafted and have made the watch very easy to read under extreme dark and zero light conditions. What people think highly about the lightweight micro gas tubes is that they are able to function perfectly without the need to battery. They recharge by sunlight which can last for over 10 years under normal usage. This technique is claimed to be 100 times better than a traditional lume and is guaranteed its safety with the low amount of tritium released with a secured CO2 laser.

Popular Ball Engineer Master II Models

Having gone through ups and downs, successes and challenges in its watchmaking journey, Ball marked its own position in the horology world with a number of top-notch timepieces. One of the most popular models is the Ball Engineer Master II diver watch. This series is part of the brand’s innovation of their old models. As such, the Engineer Master II Diver Worldtime and the Engineer Master II Aviator are just two of the popular watches that you should get hold of. The stylish features and vital functions of a sports watch are all made possible by these dive watches.

Ball Engineer Master II Diver Worldtime

The worldtimer has always been one of the iconic features of Ball watches. It is created for frequent travelers no matter if it is for business or exploring. This Ball Engineer Diver Worldtimer watch has combined the professional diving features and world time in a nice balance. It offers an exceptional water resistance up to 300m/1000ft and at the same time features a world time indicator in 24 time zones. You can easily adjust the time by simply turning the bezel in one direction to set the 12 o’clock position of your local city.

Ball Engineer Master II Diver Chronometer

The first dual-crown dive watch of the collection was introduced in 2006. For these years the brand released several updated models while retaining a water resistance of up to 300 meter. The movement fitted for the newer model, Ball Engineer Master II Diver Chronometer is chronometer COSC certified. There is no doubt that accuracy and reliability are guaranteed.

Indeed the brand isn't just satisfied with “good”, it strives for the “best”. This watch is also crafted with the Ball’s high standard trio of protections: shock resistant to 5000G, magnetic resistant to 1000 Gauss, and of course, water resistant to 300 m.

Ball Engineer Master II Aviator

The Master Aviator watch is a rugged and bold Ball watch that features a 46mm large stainless steel case and a tapered matching bracelet with a solid folding buckle. On top of the strong build on the case, it is also sophisticatedly crafted in the inside with the BALL RR1102 automatic caliber. Equipped with a secure screwed-in crown, the solid watch guarantees a water resistance of a depth of 100m/330ft as well as a 4,800A/m antimagnetic property. Besides, this watch features 66 micro gas tubes for its larger indices on the dial for better readability in the dark.

The Ball Engineer Master II watch is a fully developed diver watch that let the world recognise not only the Ball railroad watches but also all Ball professional watches.
